Car dealership is messing me over, HELP!!!?

November 7, 2010 - 9:43 am 4 Comments

I bought a 2005 Chevy Uplander from a car lot about a month ago. Put $1.500 down, and was told it was in great working condition. I have to pay $190 every two weeks for the next two years. This car dealership is one of those that does not do credit checks, you just pay an arm and a leg. When I got the car they said the Fuel Pump was broke and it needed to be replace, and they would do it free of charge. But I had to wait 2 weeks for them to fix it. In this time, I noticed that my fuel gauge did not work. If I filled it up, then the gauge would say I was “LOW FUEL” but it would go back to normal after about 40 miles. When I started the car, I would have to give it gas first to make it stay on. The Car Place told me all these problems would go away once they put in a new fuel pump. Well, last week they put in the new fuel pump(thats what they say) but I am still having all these same problems. This car is supposed to get 21 mpg but it only get 14mpg. Is there anything I can say or do to get them to fix it, or put me in a different car of the same standard, or give me my money back? I am in Oklahoma, so is there any help? They told me their cars where not covered under “Lemon Law” because they sale USED CARS
They did give me a “WE OWE YOU” form and its says “Fuel Pump”

I bought a scooter from a small time dealership, when I got it home it wouldn’t start. Is there a lemon law?

November 6, 2010 - 5:59 am 5 Comments

When I bought the scooter the dealership guy told me they were trying to get out of the business of selling scooters. I rode the scooter around his lot and it ran fine, I paid for it and took it home. When I got home it wouldn’t start for some reason. My dad also bought one that is still running very well. I then took the scooter back and told the guy just give me my money back. Since I had only had the scooter for only 2 days, I felt that it would be the honest thing to do. But he told me that it was a clean deal and they couldn’t take it back. So I told him if you can fix it then I will be happy to keep it. He changed the spark plug and I picked it up, however when I got home I started it and drove it for about 20 minutes and it stalled and wouldn’t start again. I called the guy and said I don’t want a scooter that doesn’t run, he told me to take it to a shop, and that he wouldn’t take it back. Isn’t there a lemon law for scooters, I have only had it a week and it don’t even run?

Does the Lemon Law cover vehicles that were purchased “As-Is” with no warranty from a dealership?

November 5, 2010 - 8:28 pm 5 Comments

If someone purchased a car from a dealership knowing that the car did not come with a warranty and the car broke down 350 miles away from home because of a faulty fuel pump the day after it was purchased, is the dealership responsible for the vehicle under the Lemon Law?

I HAVE GONE TO THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIP TO BE TOLD I COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERY LITTLE THING THAT GOES WRONG WITH THE VECHILCE ( YES I DO IT IS BRAND NEW) I PAID ALOT OF MONEY TO HAVE A GMC (GIVE ME CRAP) I QUESS. WHAT SHOULD I DO???? HELP
