question about buying a used lemon from a dealer in pennsylvania? only owned 4 days, less then 50 miles? HELP!

Question by nome179er: question about buying a used lemon from a dealer in pennsylvania? only owned 4 days, less then 50 miles? HELP!
my sister bought a car from Brick’s auto sales in Quakertown Pennsylvania. She has had the car 4 days, and only put 50 miles on it, and the transmission went. After doing a little research online, lemon laws only apply to new cars. There was no warranty purchased with the car (it’s an older model, and it was $ 1500), is there any type of law that protects the consumer if the dealer refuses to refund her money? any help would be really appreciated thank you!

CALIFORNIA LEMON LAW — my poor housekeepr got swindled and I need to know what she can / how I can help her.?

Question by Finnale: CALIFORNIA LEMON LAW — my poor housekeepr got swindled and I need to know what she can / how I can help her.?
She bought a salvaged car for $ 2250 and was told the transmission was restored, but has since had to put hundreds in to get the car to work — she almost had an accident on the freeway.

She showed me the “Deposit Receipt” where she paid $ 2000 and it does say “as is – no warranty” and the sales rep wrote in that the car was “fixed” listed minor repairs, and “alignment”

Bought used car with undisclosed frame damage need help?

November 7, 2011 - 10:15 am 1 Comment

Question by purpl3h4ze: Bought used car with undisclosed frame damage need help?
I Bought a 1994 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme with 167,000 miles on it at the end of June from an auto dealer and have substantial problems with the car ever since. On the test drive my girlfriend and I pointed out a few things that were noted on the bill of sale to be fixed before we were to drive the car off the lot including simple things like faulty window motors and a rattling sound in the rear passenger side wheel well. Everything that we listed ended up breaking again and the sound never went away and were given estimates to fix them even though we were in a 30 day window of taking the car and could not afford to fix them. Long Story short after several trips there and estimates I couldn’t afford I took it to another mechanic after my muffler fell off because no one at the dealership could fix it at the time It turns out my frame is damaged beyond any repair because of rust and the rattling sound we heard was our control arm that had broken through the frame. My new mechanic believes that the inspection sticker put on the car isn’t legit; like the dealership paid off the inspector because a car should have never passed a safety inspection with that amount rust and damage on the under carriage/ frame.

DO I have a case for auto fraud for undisclosed frame damage or the lemon law in my favor.

Question by Shannon S: Can anyone help me get answers about CA lemon law and used cars?
I bought a 1994 Toyota 4×4 in April 2006, and the computer has already been replaced as well as the entire wiring harness. I just want to return the truck to the dealer I bought it from. What are my options?? I’ve almost been killed in this truck twice because it just dies out.
