Bought a used lemon car in NYC and I need help! ?

November 5, 2010 - 5:21 am 3 Comments

My used car has over 100,000 miles so it’s not covered by the lemon law. I purchased it “As-Is” but I read this on the NYC website:

{Even when a car is not covered by the Used-Car Lemon Law because the price is under $1,500 or it has 100,000 miles or more, State law still requires used car dealers to certify that the car was inspected and that it is fit and roadworthy. A dealer cannot legally sell a car “as is.”}

I heard one can become an attorney without law school, but only in California, please help me out?

November 5, 2010 - 2:36 am 4 Comments

Well I just graduated college (B.S. Communications with focus on professional writing) and will be moving to California.

I heard that you can become an attorney without going to law school, but only in the state of California. There is some type of exam you must take and pass…Anyone know any info about this? I am interested in becoming a lawyer, but I have a lot of school loans/debt and I cannot pay for law school. However, I am eager to learn and take the exams. I would like to work for myself and practice general law or become a lemon law attorney and help individuals who may have purchased a new car from a dealership and turns out to be a lemon.

CALIFORNIA LEMON LAW — please help, what can be done here?

November 5, 2010 - 1:34 am 3 Comments

My poor housekeepr bought a salvaged car for $2250 and was told the transmission was restored, but has since had to put hundreds in to get the car to work — she almost had an accident on the freeway.

She showed me the “Deposit Receipt” where she paid $2000 and it does say “as is – no warranty” and the sales rep wrote in that the car was “fixed” listed minor repairs, and “alignment”

AutoMaster Lemon!! Please help me?

November 5, 2010 - 12:01 am 1 Comment

okay I went to automaster in Aug of 08. I got a 2002 ford focus that was supposed to be thoroughly checked by their mechanics before it was sold. the within the first 15 hours of having the car it kept overheating and making odd noises. the trunk would not open either but that was not covered by the 6mo warranty. well a few weeks ago I had to replace the whole steering column because the lock cylinder would not come out. I also had to buy a new key at ford dealer and have it programmed. worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now it is doing it all over again. They key will not turn over at all. I want to stop making payments on this pos!! they say that i cant give it back or they can sue me for the balance due. anyone else have this problem? I need to know what I can do. I live in Arkansas and not sure about the lemon laws………….

Can I get some help finding an attorney willing to take my lemon law case??

November 4, 2010 - 10:42 pm 6 Comments

My truck is an unsafe vehicle sold to me based on lies from small dealership. I have a lemon law case, but I can’t afford to pay an attorney for representation. Can someone help me with this?? My truck has almost gotten me killed twice because it just dies out. The dealership is playing games with me. It’s now at the dealership’s mechanic, but I know it can’t be fixed because the parts they need to make it a safe vehicle aren’t available anymore.

I bought a 1994 Toyota 4×4 in April 2006, and the computer has already been replaced as well as the entire wiring harness. I just want to return the truck to the dealer I bought it from. What are my options?? I’ve almost been killed in this truck twice because it just dies out.
