Question by dibidi: Buying a used car from another state and worried about the lemon story.? So, I am about to buy a used 2002 Mercedes from a dealer in Illinois. I live in Virginia. The car has about 60k miles on it. I am worried that once I buy, it may not last long and break with in a month or so. If this happens and is a serious breakdown e.g. engine or electronics etc, what can i do?
Isn’t there a some kind of an automatic warranty. Apparently the lemon law does not apply for used cars. Sometimes dealers offer extended warranty but the car is quite old and I don’t think I can get extended warranty. What should I do?

Question by loubell: why isnt there a lemon law in the state of pa for used car’s? Got a 2000 s10 blazer from Day centennial Uniontown on March 8, 2007. And ever sence we’ve had it we have been having truble with it, we’ve had it in service department to get it fixed more then 10 time’s. And every time we get it back it run’s like crap. I have asked for the work history on the blazer from the first day i’ve taken it in to get fixed, The brack’s keep going bad and when we take it in to get checked day centennial tell’s us that thay dont see nothing wrong with them, I have been very stressed, and my marriage of 12 year’s is in effect over this blazer, It’s not fair to us that we cant have anything done over this. I’ve even called the local new’s and was wanting to share with every one how day centennial has treated myself and my family.I’ve tried to get a hold of an attorney and thay dont want no part’s of this. I’m making my monthly payment’s and all i want to do is traid it in.
