Bought a used 94 4runner in washington state. Less than 20 days after giving 00 down the head gasket blew and the block is probably cracked. Dealer won’t refund the money but will split the cost of repair or put us in another junker that we don’t want. We owe 0 this month and then 0 a month thereafter. Do I have any other options?

alright I bought a 1998 pontiac sunfire from a buy here pay here lot. the car they sold me was junk as I found out after the fact. I have made two payments and I want them to fix the issue by either switching the car for another or letting me out of my payments. they sold me the car for around 00 and I have only paid 2 weekly payments. I am not sure if there is a lemon law or other laws that will allow me top get this taken care of. I am in ohio and the car lot was the lender
I have only paid 300 on the car so far and I am willing to let them repo it. I am filling for bankruptcy in a couple months anyways

Question by BJ: My daughter bought a used truck 2 wks ago, now what?
My 18 yr old daughter traded her car and 0.00 for a down payment on an F-250 Ford pickup at a local dealership.
The very next day the truck wouldn’t start, the dealer fixed it, saying it was a bad coil. Three days later the truck kept jumping out of park. (automatic). Called dealer and was told to take it to a local shop/ have them call him for repairs. Shop said bring it back the next day. The next day the shop never opened. The following day the truck stopped moving in any direction. Now dealer says he is not responsible, will not pay for repairs/ says there is no lemon law in Texas. (since it is way passed any original warranty). My daughter now has no vehicle, no money and no way to get to work in order to pay for repairs or the vehicle. She has owned the truck about two weeks now and first payment will be due on the 22nd of the month. Dealer says he has already sold her car. Any suggestions that may help with this delima? Please?
PS: We live 30 miles from nearest work.

Question by blank: lemon law on used vehicles?
If you buy a truck “as is” from a dealer and one week later the motor needs to be overhauled, do you have any recourse? Or do you just live and learn? The only problem we were informed of was that it needed a new fuel injector.
I have learned that my state prohibits “as is” sales (no lemon law). And all vehicles sold “as is” come with an implied warranty. He was supposed to disclose any and all defects prior to the sale and because of withholding such information he could be sued for personal injuries. Thanks for all the help.
